How it works

From raw gameplay to a finished showcase in one prompt

CheatCut is a one-prompt video editor for cheat showcases. You upload raw gameplay, say what the video should be in plain words and accept a fixed credit price. CheatCut picks the clips, cuts them to the beat, adds captions, sound, a menu reveal and an end card, checks the result and hands it back for you to review and download.

Five steps from raw footage to export

  1. Upload your footage

Record gameplay with your features on and a slow pass through your cheat menu, then upload the file. It goes straight to private storage in parts that resume if your connection drops.

  2. Describe the video

Write one prompt the way you'd brief an editor you trust. Then pick the shape, the finished length and a style: Clean, Polished or Pro.

  3. Accept a fixed price

CheatCut shows the edit's fixed credit price before anything starts. Asking for a price costs nothing and the price holds until you press start.

  4. Watch it come together

Follow the edit live while CheatCut reads your footage, cuts the edit, renders it and checks the result. You can leave and come back.

  5. Review and download

Play the finished showcase in your workspace, ask for changes in plain words, then approve the final and download it.

What you upload

Each edit works from one video file, so put everything the showcase needs in it: whole matches or raids with your features switched on and a short pass through your cheat menu, recorded in the same session. You don't need to trim anything first. More raw gameplay gives CheatCut more clips to choose from.

MP4, MOV, MKV and WebM files up to 12 hours long are accepted. Your original stays private while you revise and is deleted when you approve the final edit. If you don't approve it, the edit closes automatically 24 hours after its final render and the original is deleted then. The finished video stays available to download.

Recording the menu side well makes a real difference to the reveal, and the cheat menu showcase guide walks through it tab by tab.

What to put in your prompt

Say what the video is for and what has to be in it: the features to show, the pace, where the menu reveal goes and how it should end. Plain words work and you don't need any editing terms. The shape, length and style are picked beside the prompt, so the prompt is for everything else.

  • 45 second 16:9 showcase for our product page. ESP first, then the aimbot, then a slow menu reveal. Clean captions and an end card.

  • 15 second 9:16 clip of the three fastest kills, cut hard on the beat, with captions in our menu's own feature names.

Your price before anything starts

Every edit gets a fixed credit price first. It depends on how long your footage is, the finished length and the style you pick. Nothing is reserved until you press start.

When you start, the credits are reserved rather than spent. They're charged only when the edit succeeds, and every reserved credit comes back if it fails or if you cancel while it's still waiting to start. When editing is busy your edit waits in line and starts on its own.

Plans add credits every paid month, and the CheatCut pricing page shows them in your currency with estimates by video length.

What happens inside the edit

Your workspace shows each stage as the edit moves through it.

  1. Preparing your footage

A lighter preview copy is made from your original, so the edit can be planned without moving the full file around.

  2. Understanding your footage

CheatCut reads the footage for the moments worth keeping. In shooters that show a kill feed, that includes the kills that landed.

  3. Building your edit

The clips are picked and ordered against your prompt and cut on the beat, with captions, sound, the menu reveal and the end card.

  4. Rendering your video

The edit renders at the shape and length you chose.

  5. Checking the final video

The finished video is checked before it reaches you.

  6. Ready to download

It plays in your workspace, ready to review and download.

Review, change and approve

When the edit is ready, play it in your workspace. If something's off, ask for a change in plain words, like "make the captions bigger and start on the first action". A small change keeps the same length, shape and style and costs fewer credits. A new length, shape or style is a rebuild with its own price. Your earlier version stays available while you revise.

When you're happy, approve it as final. That deletes your original footage and locks the video, and the final stays available to download. The export is yours to post wherever your buyers are.
